This is an awesome opportunity for someone wanting to get into the racing industry to learn from some of the best in the business. We not only have an incredible bunch of staff we are also very hands on ourselves and have so much to teach people wanting to get a foot in the door.
This is a hard job, early mornings, weather conditions aren't always easy, very physical and a degree of danger comes with working with young race horses. Having a hard working, positive attitude and being able to work well with others and follow instructions is very important.
We start at 5am-10am, Monday-Saturday and 6:30am-9am on Sunday mornings, if you can't wake up and be at work on time please do not apply, we are a small team and if one person lets the team down it takes a toll on everyone else.
Afternoons are from 2pm-4pm every day.
We have a roster that requires you to work every second weekend and you will get afternoons off during the week.
Unfortunately horses do not care about weekends, public holidays etc, they need care 7 days a week no exceptions, This is not a 9-5, 5 day a week job, the hours are similar to a dairy farm so if you’ve worked on a dairy farm and you feel like a change we want to hear from you!
This is not just our job its our passion, come and learn what being apart of something bigger then just a job is all about, our horses are everything to us and only the best is what we will accept for all of them.
Experience is a requirement and any trackwork riding would be a bonus. But most of all having animal sense, following instructions and reliability are the most important.
