Marine Mechanical/Systems Design Engineer
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare PFD, Technical Agreement for Customer submittal.
- Prepare PID and Sizing for FGSS / Cryogenic system design:
- Detail design for Piping & Instruments diagram
- Select and size for equipment (Pump, compressor, heater, tank..)
- Calculate and design for piping size & thickness
- Design components and systems marine cryogenic fuel supply and gas management system:
- Select and size for design component (Valves, TCS and so on)
- Pressure relief valve sizing for system design
- Thermodynamic calculations
- Control system, Automation system
- Understanding for Instrumentation
- Review customer specifications and incorporate into existing or new systems
- Work closely with Application Engineers, CAD/Design, Project Engineers, and Production Engineers
- Prepare manufacturing assembly drawings for Production
- Design for Manufacturing skillset is highly desired
- Prepare General Arrangement and Installation drawings for Customer submittal:
- Skid assembly design (a plus, not necessary)
- Skid structural design (a plus, not necessary)
- Routing and support design (a plus, not necessary)
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- 7+ years of marine engineering experience with cryogenic systems including experience in manufacturing, test environment and start-up
- Experience creating Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
- Project Management experience
- Knowledge of pump selection and operation requirements
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Inventor, or SolidWorks or similar software
- Experience designing complex skidded system assemblies including piping and electrical wiring
- Excellent interpersonal relations, customer service, and oral and written communication skills
