Hours: primarily 8a-4:30a; will work other shifts to include: 5:45a-2:15p; 6a-2:30p; 7a-3:30p; 12:30-9p. Will work every 6th weekend.
Performs clerical duties in the Operating Room including scheduling add-on emergency cases. Key link between physicians and operating rooms. Establishes and maintains good interpersonal relationships with those with whom she/he has contact. Respects and maintains confidentiality of all verbal and written communications.
Strong commu! nication skills. Must be able to use office equipment includin! g personal computer and application software, printer, FAX, multi-line telephone system. Prefer typing skills at 50wpm. Excellent written and oral communication skills including knowledge of medical terminology, English usage, grammar, punctuation, and style along with knowing the organization of the Operating Room. Ability to understand diverse accents and dialects. Ability to use reference materials. Ability to multi-task. Does not normally have patient contact.
