**JOB SUMMARY**
Assists nursing personnel with a variety of patient care activities and related services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients. Performs under the supervision of a RN or LPN. May require certification in some locations. Assists patients in daily living tasks such as hygiene, dressing, feeding, positioning, exercising, etc. Assists with personal hygiene, takes vital signs and changes bed linens. May serve and collect food trays and provide for between-meal nourishment. Transfers patients in and out of bed or wheelchair using proper tools when necessary. Assist patients with ambulation and mobility. Maintains stock of medical supplies needed for registered nurse or physician. Complies with all patient duties assigned.
**POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES**
Additional responsibili ties include transporting patients to and from surgery, turning over the OR, cleaning operating room (wipe down bed and tables) mopping floor, taking out instruments not needed for procedure/bring in any new equipment, prepping the bed for the next procedure, collecting wheelchairs if needed, confirming oxygen tanks are full, collecting blood products if operating room is in need.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
High school or equivalent required.
