The position
As an intern, you will participate in a project team that is responsible for a variety of tasks related to the development of medical devices. For instance, the desire to improve a system or process, address a present issue, introduce a new raw material, or develop a new component for a medical device, could all be driving forces behind your project.
In addition to identifying, planning, carrying out, and evaluating more modest improvement efforts, you will also collect, analyse, and present data (A3). Both device development projects and improvement initiatives will be covered in this course.
Together we will find the projects that match the candidate’s interests and are beneficial to be solved. In order to find solutions to production problems' underlying causes, you will have the opportunity to employ methodical problem-solving techniques.
Practicalities:
- Start date: As soon as possible
- Internship period: Flexible, but we prefer 5-6 months
- Working hours: Full-time (32-37 hours/week)

Qualifications
You are a student in your second or third year who is interested in Project Management and the Optimization of Systems and Processes. You might be studying Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Metal Engineering, Plastic Engineering, or any similar field.
- Self-motivated individual who aspires to be a team player
- Having a strong desire for improvements/optimizations, a "can do" attitude, and a natural curiosity
- Understanding of the fundamentals of project management methods keen on an analytical mindset
- Taking an individual approach in dealing with different personalities with your interpersonal skills
- Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of Danish is considered advantageous
Strong communication skills enable you to navigate a diverse landscape of stakeholders such as product development, production, and suppliers. Your enthusiasm and drive enable you to get support for your solutions and ideas. Willingness to take initiative and the ability to set direction allows you to work independently. At the same time, you enjoy supporting and helping others, and you value personal relationships.
About the department
In Hillerød, which is a division of the Device & Supply company within Product Supply, you will work alongside 40 other co-workers in the Device Manufacturing Development Department for Components. We bridge the gap between Device Research & Development and Production by developing and validating manufacturing processes to produce medical device components.
As part of the Component Project Office, you will be working with a team of 6 project managers that work on various projects within medical device development. The projects cover amongst other expansions, sustainability, improvement of i.e., materials, process performance, and device functionality. We work closely together with both internal- and external stakeholders to develop, implement and evaluate the projects. We always strive to achieve the best results for our patients, while having fun doing so.
