South East Adult Education – Éducation des adultes du Sud-Est (SEAE-ÉASE) is a not-for-profit organization that provides free classes in French and English for adults in south east New Brunswick who want to improve their literacy up to the General Educational Development (GED) level. SEAE-ÉASE has been supported through contracts with WorkingNB, a branch of the Department of Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labour, since 2008.

South East Adult Education – Éducation des adultes du Sud-Est is seeking a full-time Manager of Operations.

The role of the Manager of Operations is to support SEAE-ÉASE in the management of the Community Adult Learning Program (CALP).

Responsibilities

Reporting to the President, the Manager of Operations’ will be required to:

  • Manage and support staff following SEAE-ÉASE and Working NB policies
  • Coordinate staff recruitment, hiring and training in conjunction with the President of SEAE-ÉASE
  • Collaborate with the Assistant Manager of Operations
  • Provide information to potential adult learners and manage their placement into a classroom
  • Plan and implement marketing activities to increase awareness and interest in the CALP
  • Work with community and government partners that assist SEAE-ÉASE in the delivery of classroom services
  • Process payroll for approximately 30 employees
  • Monitor budget in conjunction with the SEAE-ÉASE treasurer
  • Prepare annual funding applications
  • Maintain confidentiality of personal information of staff and students
  • Plan, organize or manage other activities as directed by the President

This list is not exhaustive. The person selected will complete tasks as required for the daily and annual management of operations.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Business Administration or related field
  • Experience working with adults in a leadership role or with adult students within an educational setting
  • Written and spoken competence in English and spoken competence in French
  • Ability to serve and work with a diverse clientele
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and people skills
  • Ability to complete detailed tasks accurately and efficiently
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a variety of tasks
  • Ability to work independentlyKnowledge of bookkeeping principles
  • Ability to oversee and manage a budget
  • Proficient using Microsoft Word, Excel, email applications and the ability to learn new applications as necessary

This full-time position starts in June 2023.

Annual salary range will be from $46,000 - $51 900.

Applicants for this position must be eligible to be employed in Canada. Applicants must be a Canadian citizen, permanent or temporary resident or have a valid Canadian work permit.
