Description: Animal Clinic of Rapid City is in need of Associate DVM right now, this position will be placed in South Dakota. More complete informations about this position opportunity please read the description below. We are looking for a friendly, outgoing, experienced veterinarian to join our busy multi-doctor practice. We are looking for either a mixed animal or a small animal only practitioner. We are predominately small animal with about 15% large animal, split between equine and cow/calf. Offering an attractive compensation package with flexibility in the number of days worked per week. We have multiple veterinarians in the practice to discuss cases with, which helps us all learn more and grow as veterinarians. We commonly ask opinions of other veterinarians in our practice while working on difficult cases because two brains are better than one! We also rely on CE and learning from others to help keep us up to date with the ever-changing veterinary information and treatments. On our small animal side we offer full service, quality medicine and have a good ICU set up for hospitalized animals. We have an emergency hospital in the same facility so our hospitalized patients have 24 hour care. Plus that means NO on call duties for Animal Clinic Veterinarians! We do most surgeries in house but are refer if we feel it is best for our patient. If we feel something is beyond our capabilities we have a board certified small animal surgeon 30 minutes away. Our facility is equipped with cbc, chemistry, x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, equipment for orthopedics and TPLOs, pulse ox, EKG, blood pressure, IV pumps, in floor heat in cages, quick connect oxygen hook ups, and gas anesthesia for both small animals and equine. We are located in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota, with nearby: hiking, camping, skiing, snowmobiling, fishing, hunting, trail riding, biking, rock climbing, and rodeo.
