Description: Jackson & Coker is looking of HOSPITALIST right now, this occupation will be placed in South Dakota. The VA Medical Center in South Dakota is in need of a locum tenens Hospitalist to provide care for patients in acute care (10 med/surg beds) and nursing home care beds (7 beds).
May be asked to cover the Emergency Room and ICU, when needed.
Physician will provide coverage to the Urgent Care during off hours (between 4pm and 7am, Monday â€" Friday, and all weekends).
Urgent Care accepts unscreened ambulances.
All the traditional VA requirements apply: background checks, computer skills, computerized record keeping, updated shot record and physical prior to start.
Requirements:
Any state license.
BC or BE.
BLS, ACLS.
Computer Skills.
Background Check.
Updated Shot record.
Physicians who have worked at other VAMC’s and have completed VetPro and security background investigation requirements are preferred.
This assignment is projected to commence on September 1, 2012 and continue for up to 1 year. Working 12 hour shifts, rotating between day and night shifts. (7 days/nights on, 7 days/nights off.)
