Global Health Care Group is looking for a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to provide services in the surgery department at the Rosebud Indian Health Service, Rosebud, South Dakota.
Available Position: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).
Work to be performed at: Rosebud Indian Health Service Hospital (IHS), Rosebud, South Dakota, 57570.
Facility Information: The Rosebud Service Unit is a 35 bed comprehensive medical/surgical hospital located in Rosebud, South Dakota, with active obstetric and pediatric departments, the Rosebud IHS Hospital offers a full range of services, including dental, vision, and 24 hour ambulance services. The hospital and several field clinics are staffed by 11 physicians, nurse/midwives, and physician assistants. An optical department and dental care are also offered. The hospital is the primary source of health care for the Rosebud Sioux people, who reside across 20 communities, some of which lie outside the boundaries of the Reservation.
Work Schedule: Full-time.
Description of Services (includes but it is not limited to): The CRNA will serve as an independent service practitioner who performs pre-op evaluations, orders pertinent diagnostic tests, develops the anesthetic treatment plan considering such factors as multi-system disease and type of procedure to be performed; selects anesthetics to be used, and coordinates choice and administration of anesthesia during operations. Assesses and documents patient’s medical condition continuously during surgery through recovery from anesthesia.
Period of Performance: From July 25th, 2012 through August 4,2012 and it may be extended for three additional years upon acceptable performance and all necessary state reviews and approvals.
Position Requirements/Qualifications:
License: Must have a current CRNA State license.
Education: Must have a graduated an accredited Nurse Anesthetist program. Master Degree preferred.
Certifications: Must possess and maintain a valid Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
Experience: Must have at least 1 year of experience.
Language Skills: Must speak English proficiently.
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen or a US Permanent Resident (Green Card holder).
