Labourer (Parks Maintenance) – Local Government
An exciting opportunity has just opened for all our tree lovers! Your local government is seeking a dedicated labourer to join their ever-growing green team. In this rewarding role, you will play an important part in maintaining and enhancing the beauty and functionality of our community's parks and public spaces. This role has a particular focus on the maintenance of trees. Those who want to get outdoors and gain a foothold in the highly sought after Local Government are encouraged to apply!
- $31.37 hourly rate + Super
- Early starts and finishes (06.00am to 16.00pm)
- Monday to Friday
- Mackay Location – Work Close to home!
- Casual ongoing, full time hourly basis
- Opportunity for perm for the right candidate

A Day in The Life
Your day to day will involve the following tasks and responsibilities:
- Tree maintenance. This includes collecting branches and feeding the woodchipper, along with tree pruning and planting
- Removal of litter and waste around parks and local areas
- Directing and managing traffic when required
- Other general labouring duties
The Ideal Candidate
- Must hold a Construction Card (White Card)
- Holds a ‘C’ Class Licence
- Holds at minimum a MR Licence
- Current Chainsaw Ticket highly desirable
- Proven experience in a similar role is highly desirable
