DIRECTOR OF SURGERY NEEDED FOR FULL TIME PERMANENT POSITION!
THIS IS NOT AN INTERIM POSITION NOR ARE WE SEEKING AN INTERIM, FULL TIME PERM CANDIDATES ONLY!!!
SALARY RANGE $93,600, MID $117,520 MAX $140,400
CURRENT SOUTH DAKOTA RN LICENSE OR MULTI STATE LICENSURE PRIVILEGES
BACHELORS DEGREE IN NURSING PREFERRED
This Director is responsible for Surgery, Sterile Processing and Anesthesia areas which is about 25 employees.
Responsible for direction of patient care in the operative environment.
Consults with staff, physicians and Chief Nursing Officer on nursing issues and interpretation of hospital policies to ensure patient needs are met.
Maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in Quality activities.
Schedules staff and conducts employee performance reviews.
Formulates budget for department.
This is a "Working Manager" position which includes assisting the surgical team during operative and invasive procedures.
Administers the nursing program in a hospital, nursing home, or other medical facility to maintain standards of patient care.
Advises medical staff, department heads, and administrators in matters related to nursing service and strategies.
Interprets policies and objectives of nursing service to staff and community groups.
Monitors the operations of the nursing staff and ensures compliance with regulations on organizational and governmental standards and practices.
Provides nursing care to patients on an as needed basis.
