SUMMARY: Vice President of Patient Care Services ensures delivery of quality patient care by: supporting the hospital’s! goal of excellence in patient care in a Christian, caring environment, by facilitating positive employee relations, supporting department goals, medical staff and public. All duties and responsibilities will be performed in such a way as to demonstrate and support the hospital’s Catholic, Benedictine and Presentation sponsorship and its values of hospitality, compassion and stewardship. The Vice President plans, directs, delegates, implements and evaluates care delivery and personnel within sound economic guidelines. Develops and markets a continuum of care that meets the needs of the community and Sacred Heart Health Services regional service area.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages Directors in Patient Care Services : Medical, Surgical, ICU, Emergency, Clinical Support Services, Anesthesia, Surgery, Post Anesthesia Recovery, Sterile Processing, Rehabilitation, Cancer, Women’s and Children’s, Swing bed, GI, Renal Dialysis and Pharmacy .
A Masters Degree is required! preferably in a health-related discipline. Requires a minimum of six years experience in a progressive healthcare management role. Must demonstrate sound administrative and leadership ability. BSN required.
