Primary Function: Scheduling for the NCH cardiologists and surgeons
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Answer incoming patient and referring office telephone calls !
2. Schedule appointments, tests and procedures per physician and clinic guidelines
3. Data entry of appointments and call schedule for physicians
4. EMR creation as needed to schedule appointments
5. Obtain patient demographics and enter information into the EMR
6. Provide coverage for the other scheduling representatives, as needed
7. Contact patients for rescheduling
8. Instruct patients prior to procedures according to approved guidelines
9. Make referrals to outside physicians per request. Send all pertinent records.
10. Review Physician discharge orders and make appointments as appropriate
11. Obtain pertinent records prior to patient appointment
12. Alert pre-auth staff of all add on procedures
13. Special projects as assigned by management
14. Prompt and regular attendance is required.
Must be computer proficient, previous medical office experience preferred.
